There were some pretty intense police chases around that oval road. had a blast driving his toy cars through his Sidewalk Chalk Art Town. ![]() Use a light touch when blending white and other light colors – they get “muddy” fast.Get your fingers into it to blend and spread colors. ![]() Add shadows and depth with a darker complementary color.Add highlights and accent lines with white or a lighter contrasting color.Use 2-3 colors for each building/scene – experiment with layering them.Stick to big simple shapes and lines – it’s hard to get small details with chunky sidewalk chalk.I used gray with yellow dotted lines to make a paved road near the town but used browns to make a dirt road near the farm. Once I had all of the town colored, I added another wavy oval line around the inside to make the road. It was as simple as coloring in a coloring book.
